You’ve seen it time and time again, the most beautiful, delicious, sizzling bacon. Yet, no matter how hard you may try, your bacon never quite looks as pictured. Well, despite what you may believe, you totally can make your own perfectly waved bacon.
To start, take a piece of heavy duty aluminum foil. Next, Form “ridges” in it about 1⁄2 inch tall and about 1 inch apart. Spray foil with pam. Lay bacon over it and pop it in the oven THEN set the oven to 400 degrees and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until it is browned to your liking. I like using a cold oven to start as the bacon will slowly warm up and not have the quick cook of a super hot oven which tends to shrink the bacon. Lastly, if you are making pretty bacon for photographing, you can use a small torch to get just the right browning or sizzle marks and a browning sauce like Kitchen Bouquet to touch up any light areas.
TA-DA! Beautifully, waved bacon!
